Members of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona who live on and off the reservation will be able to attend informational sessions before voting May 19 on a gaming referendum.
Meetings for Hopis who live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Flagstaff, Arizona, are being held next week. A series of sessions for Hopi villages will be held throughout the month of March.
The Hopi Tribe set up a task force to look into gaming. The tribe could open its own casinos or lease its rights to other tribes in Arizona. Tribal members have traditionally opposed gambling
