Shawn Pensoneau, a member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, has been named director of Congressional and Public Affairs for the National Indian Gaming Commission.
Pensoneau comes to NIGC from the National American Indian Housing Council, where he served as a legislative advisor. He also worked for the Navajo Nation's Washington, D.C, office.
Pensoneau replaces Affie Ellis, a member of the Navajo Nation, who left NIGC last month to pursue educational opportunities in Colorado.
