Four more tribal-state compacts were approved by the California Legislature last week.
The Senate voted 21-12 on Friday to approve the agreements. The Assembly had voted 41-15 vote in favor on Tuesday.
The compacts will now be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for review. The BIA already approved agreements previously signed by five tribes and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R).
The tribes that signed the latest agreements are the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians, the Ewiiaapaayp Band of Kumeyaay Indians, the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe and the Buena Vista Band Rancheria.
Schwarzenegger pulled back a compact for a major urban casino in the Bay Area after running into opposition. The Lytton Band of Pomo Indians is converting a card club into a Class III facility.
