Arizona's gaming tribes share $18.2M with state

Arizona's gaming tribes contributed $18.2 million to the state as part of their tribal-state gaming compacts.

The payment was the fifth, and largest, since April 2003. So far, the 15 tribes with casinos have paid $56 million to the state.

The compacts require tribes to pay 1 percent of the first $25 million in net win, 3 percent of the next $50 million, 6 percent of the following $25 million and 8 percent once the cumulative net win exceeds $100 million.
