Michigan tribe announces $43M casino expansion

The Hannahville Indian Community of Michigan is planning a $43 million expansion of its casino.

The project will add 220 hotel rooms, a 1,400-seat auditorium, a convention facility, an 18-hole golf course to the casino. The tribe will also renovate existing areas of the casino.

Construction is slated to begin in June and will be completed by winter 2006. Chairman Ken Meshigaud said 200 jobs will be created at the casino.
