Poarch Creek Band opens temporary facility

Customers are already flocking to a temporary gaming facility opened by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians earlier this month.

The tribe installed 500 gaming machines at the building in Riverside, Alabama. It will be replaced by a $300 million complex that includes a large hotel.

The tribe can only offer Class II games right now. State politicians have balked at expanding gaming in the state.
