California tribe gets temporary liquor license for casino

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has been awarded a temporary liquor license to sell liquor at its new casino.

The California Alcoholic Beverage Control Board approved the license over the objections of local officials and residents. The decision is likely to lead to a permanent license.

The tribe has a liquor license for its old casino but needed to apply for a separate one for the new, expanded casino.
