Tohono O'odham Nation plans $80M casino expansion

The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona is planning to tear down a 20-year-old casino and replace it with an $80 million facility with a hotel and restaurants.

The tribe recently approved the expansion plan for the complex, which originally started out as a bingo hall in 1984. The new casino is expected to open in the fall of 2006.

The tribe operates another casino with three restaurants and a 2,400-seat hall. This facility cost $52 million to build.
