Seneca-Cayuga Tribe sees opposition on casino

The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma shouldn't build a casino near the site of the 1994 Woodstock concert in New York, two local officials say.

Saugerties Supervisor Greg Helsmoortel and Mayor Robert Yerick said the casino would not be in the town's best interests. They plan to submit resolution to oppose the tribe's proposal.

The tribe previously settled its land claim with Gov. George Pataki (R) for a casino in the Catskills. But the tribe will not be included in an updated bill, according to news reports.
