Michigan tribe ready to hire for disputed casino

More than 1,000 people turned out for a career fair in hopes of landing jobs at a proposed casino in Michigan.

Opposition to the proposed casino could delay it for several years. But the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians isn't wasting time lining up potential employees.

The tribe's land-into-trust application has been approved by the Bureau of Indian Affairs but a lawsuit is expected to be filed by opponents. The tribe still needs to negotiate a Class III gaming compact.
