Cayuga Nation shuts down Class II gaming facility

The Cayuga Nation of New York has temporarily shut down its Class II gaming facility.

The tribe closed the facility in response to a new Seneca County law that outlaws gaming. The tribe doesn't believe it is subject to the law and are considering a challenge.

The facility is located on ancestral land that is not held in trust. Local officials say it operating illegally.
