Connecticut casinos seeking to help Katrina victims

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes are reaching out to victims of Hurricane Katrina who lost their jobs with the destruction of a number of Gulf Coast casinos.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has hired a family of dealers who lost everything in the hurricane. The Mohegan Tribe is running national ads in hopes of attracting qualified workers.

The Gulf Coast casinos in Mississippi that were destroyed by the hurricane will be allowed to build onshore facilities under a new bill being signed into law.
