The Resighini Rancheria in northern California plans to open the new Gold Bear Casino by May 26, its fourth foray in the gaming arena.
The tribe's first casino was washed out by a flood in 1997. A second, temporary casino operated for six months in 1997 before the tribe found an investor, leading to a third casino that opened in mid-1988 but closed after two years.
The new casino will feature between 150 and 200 slot machines and a cafe. The tribe hopes to provide jobs for tribal members.
