The Eastern Shoshone Tribe and Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal (D) signed a gaming compact on Friday.
Freudenthal agreed to the compact only after the Northern Arapaho Tribe won a Class III gaming court case. The Shoshone compact mirrors the gaming procedures the Arapahos obtained through the Interior Department.
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe plans to announce its casino plans in a couple of weeks. The Northern Arapaho Tribe is building a $10 million casino.
The two tribes share the Wind River Reservation.
