The Modoc Tribe and the Miami Nation operate Oklahoma's only joinly owned casino.
The two tribes partnered to open The Stables Casino in 1998. The facility is located on Modoc land.
The tribes share decision-making power at the 32,000-square-foot casino. Profits are nearly equally split between the tribes.
Modoc and Miami leaders say the casino emphasizes that Oklahoma tribes can stick together yet remain competitive. There are about six other casinos in the area.
