The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut won unanimous approval of zoning changes being sought for a major resort.
The tribe and its new partner MGM Mirage are planning a resort next to the reservation.
The tribe requested a zoning text amendment to accommodate the development.
The land is not held in trust. The tribe is one of the largest taxpayers in the town of Ledyard.
