Buena Vista Band releases new casino impact study

The Buena Vista Band of Me-Wuk Indians of California released a new draft tribal environmental impact report for its proposed casino.

The tribe plans to open a Class III gaming facility on its 67.5-acre reservation. The project will be completed in three phases, with the gaming floor to grow to 71,525 square-feet with 1,650 slot machines and 60 table games.

The report marks the second effort by the tribe. The first report was scrapped at the recommendation of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R), who said certain issues weren't addressed.

A copy of the report can be found at http://www.buenavistatribe.com/tribal_gaming.htm.
