Wyandotte Nation reopens Kansas City casino

The Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma reopens its casino in Kansas, this evening.

The 7th Street Casino is located on trust land in downtown Kansas City. The state of Kansas disputes the legality of the gaming site but the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled in the tribe's favor.

The site is about 176 miles from tribal headquarters in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. The land was acquired in trust via settlement funds provided by an act of Congress.

The $21 million facility offers Class II games.
