San Pasqual Band finishes construction on $72M hotel at casino

The San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians has finished work on a hotel at the Valley View Casino in southern California.

The tribe spent $72 million on the project. Work took more than two years but the 108 rooms are finally ready for public viewing on November 19.

"I'm happy looking at my new baby. It's a labor of love," general manager Bruce Howard told The North County Times.

The tribe financed the project partly with $35 million in bonds that were issued under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
