Fodder: Poarch Creeks hire firm to follow consumers at casinos

"Now that the state has shut down most big bingo casinos in the state, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians apparently are looking to get high-tech in terms of maximizing their market potential.

A company called Partner Stics Inc. recently put out a news release that might sound like gibberish to people outside the gaming industry.

The news release said the Wind Creek casino "has become the first Alabama property to employ service-based predictive analytics. Partner Stics, Inc. will provide technology, data analysis and consulting, enabling Wind Creek to predict and act on key customer behaviors."

The Fodder wasn't exactly sure what that meant and turned to Michael Paladino, the lead gaming analyst for Fitch Ratings in New York City, for an interpretation. Paladino said it sounds like Wind Creek is doing what many casinos do: trying its best to understand the customer base for everything from its gaming machines to its food to its music.

So they want to make the most money from the most people they can? Paladino was asked. "
