Chickasaw Nation passed over for state-owned casino in Kansas

The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma won't be operating a casino for the state of Kansas.

Global Gaming Solutions, a tribal subsidiary, proposed a 260,000 square-foot casino in Sumner County. But the Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board went with a rival developer, KAKE-TV reported.

Peninsula Gaming, the winner of the license, operates gaming facilities in Iowa and Louisiana.
