California tribes discuss Internet gaming at annual conference

Internet gaming was a hot topic at the California Nations Indian Gaming Association conference on Wednesday.

CNIGA opposes one bill that would regulate Internet gaming in the state. But it hasn't taken a position on another one that some tribes support.

“If we don't get on top of it, and understand it, we're going to lose," observed Allen Lawson, the chairman of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, The Palm Springs Desert Sun reported.

CNIGA held its conference on the Morongo Reservation this year.
