Umatilla Tribes expect to finish $45M casino expansion this fall

Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation in Oregon are spending $45 million to upgrade the Wildhorse Resort & Casino.

The tribe is adding 24,000 square-feet to the gaming floor and 202 rooms to the hotel. The expansion will bring the size of the facility to 184,000 square-feet.

"Our customers are excited, are employees are excited," general manager Al Tovery told The Oregonian. "This is the big time for us."

The project is expected to be complete in September.
