California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed a Class III gaming compact with the Wiyot Tribe on Thursday.

The tribe agreed not to open a casino on its reservation. So the compact calls for the tribe to receive 3.5 percent of revenues from the off-reservation casino being sought by the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs and Brown approved the North Fork casino but it's being litigated by other tribes.
