Officials in Sonoma County, California, are worried that the Dry Creek Rancheria might revive plans for a new casino.

The tribe submitted a land-into-trust application for a 277-acre site back in 2005. After running into opposition, the tribe agreed not to pursue gaming there until 2016, The Petaluma Argus-Courier reported.

With that deadline approaching, the tribe is preparing a new application for the site. A county official who met with the tribe said the plan does not appear to include a casino.

The tribe has not yet submitted a new application to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
