The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel publishes dueling opinions about an off-reservation casino for the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin.

Menominee Nation Chairman Craig Corn says the $800 million Casino Kenosha will create jobs and generate revenues for the state. "The Kenosha casino would create more than 3,300 permanent jobs, making it one of the state's largest employers," he writes.

Harold Frank, the chairman of the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe, says the casino would adversely affect his tribe's casino. The Potawatomis operate a casino in MIlwaukee, about 40 miles away.

"For example, economic experts for Milwaukee concluded in April 2012 that the proposed Kenosha casino would result in the loss of 3,000 Milwaukee jobs," he writes. "These lost jobs include not only people who work at Potawatomi but also other businesses in Milwaukee that benefit from the travelers who frequent Potawatomi when visiting the area."
