Opponents of an off-reservation casino for the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians in California say they have collected more than enough signatures to put the issue on the ballot.

Stand Up for California formed a campaign committee to put the bill that ratified the tribe's Class III gaming compact to a statewide vote. The group said more than 800,000 people signed petitions, far more than the 504,760 that are needed to qualify.

If the referendum is certified by state officials, it will go on the ballot in 2014.
