Saginaw Chippewa Tribe announces big expansion for casino

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan announced a major expansion of one of its casinos.

The 39,000 square-foot Saganing Eagles Landing Casino will grow to 144,000 square-feet with the expansion. The tribe is adding a six-story hotel, gaming space and restaurants to the facility.

“The casino in Standish is doing well simply because of its location, and we’re doing what we can to meet the demands of our customers," Frank Cloutier, the director of public relations for the tribe, told The Bay City Times.

The tribe will add 251 jobs, bringing the total number to about 550.
