Indian Land Capital Company becomes member of CNIGA

The Indian Land Capital Company has joined the California Nations Indian Gaming Association as an associate member.

ILCC helps tribes with land purchase. Since 2005, the Community Development Financial Institution has loaned $7 million to help tribes acquire 30,000 acres.

Joining CNIGA will further that mission, the CEO and President Gerald Sherman said. California is home to successful tribes but also those that need assistance in restoring their land base.

“The movement to reclaim tribal lands is critical to the long-term success and sustainability of California tribes,” Steve Stallings, a council member for the Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians, said in a press release. “That is why I was delighted to nominate ILCC to join CNIGA as a member and partner.”
