The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan shared details of a bizarre armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of one of its casinos.

The victim was at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort when an acquaintance decided to rob him. Samantha Nicole Wynn, 19, called in two others to pull off the crime, the tribe said in a press release.

The heist got off to a bad start when one of the assailants -- a 15-year-old boy -- accidentally shot himself. So Wynn and Taj Mack Shackleford, 19, drove the teen to the hospital and returned to the casino to rob the 23-year-old victim.

Wynn and Shackleford lured the man to the casino parking lot and stole his cash and cell phone early Saturday morning. They fled the scene but were quickly apprehended with handguns that were used during the incident.

The victim had won a large amount of money at a different casino on Friday night. The tribe's police captain, Jim Cates, said people should make sure they trust others around them.

“This was not a random robbery, please be sure to take precautions when dealing with large sums of cash," Cates said in the press release.
