The Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama is warning patrons about a casino-related scam. Someone has been calling people and saying they have won a cash prize from the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in Atmore. The victims are being asked for personal information and to pay taxes on their alleged winnings. "This is a scam," Wind Creek Hospitality Chief Operating Officer Brent Pinkston said in a statement to The Atmore News. "We do not contact winners in this manner and we do not ask for confidential information over the phone." The phone calls appear to originate from Jamaica, according to news reports. Get the Story:
