Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe announces first phase of gaming expansion project

The Jamestown S’Kallam Tribe is planning a long-term expansion of its casino in Washington.

The tribe will be adding three hotel towers to the 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim, The Peninsula Daily News reported. Construction on the first one, which will feature 100 rooms, is expected to begin next year, with an opening in time for Memorial Day in 2020, the paper said.

“If it’s as successful as we expect it to be, we expect it to be a destination resort,” Chairman Ron Allen told the paper.

Subsequent phases could include a spa, event center, RV park and parking garage to the facility. Allen told the paper it would take about 10 years to complete.
