Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson (D) rejected a fourth request to delay a state-owned casino that developers fear would be hurt by a tribal gaming facility.
The Chisholm Creek Casino Resort won a license from the state to operate a casino in Sumner County. But developers have delayed the project, citing the potential Wyandotte Nation off-reservation casino and other factors. The Oklahoma-based tribe doesn't appear to be anywhere close to receiving federal approval to use 10 acres near Wichita for the casino. The Chisholm Creek site is also near Wichita. Get the Story:
