It looks like three tribes are joining forces for an off-reservation casino in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The St. Croix Chippewa Tribe and the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians initially worked together for the Beloit Casino Project. Their land-into-trust application was rejected by the Bush administration. The Ho-Chunk Nation subsequently purchased the land that the other two tribes wanted. Now all three are working together on an intergovernmental agreement with Beloit, the city manager said. Get the Story:
