The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin is in a holding pattern for its off-reservation casino.
The tribe submitted its land-into-trust application for casino in Beloit to the Bureau of Indian Affairs a couple of months ago. It could take years for a decision. "It could be shorter. It could be longer," Collin Price, a spokesperson for the tribe, told WIFR-TV. The tribe is proceeding under the two-part determination section of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
