The Seneca Nation has contributed $471 million to the state of New York under the Class III gaming compact.
The deal requires the tribe to share 25 percent of slot machine revenues. In exchange, the state promised a zone of exclusivity for Class III games. The tribe believes the state has violated the compact and has allowed an expansion of non-Indian gaming. As a result, another $460 million has been withheld.
