'Hard Rock' no more-Isleta Pueblo going back to roots at casino

Thursday, November 8, 2012

Isleta Pueblo in New Mexico will no longer be tied to the Hard Rock entertainment brand.

The tribe has been paying $1 million a year to use the "Hard Rock" name at its gaming facility near Albuquerque. The tribe also spent millions to upgrade the casino to fit in with the brand.

But the tribe never saw a big boost in revenue since the change. So the tribe plans on going back to its original "Isleta Casino" name.

"We did not see the boost that I think we would have loved to have seen," CEO Pam Gallegos told KRQE-TV.

The Hard Rock brand is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
