The Cowlitz Tribe of Washington is presenting its Class III gaming compact at a series of public hearings.
The first one was held on Friday and another takes place today. The third, and final, hearing before the Washington State Gambling
Commission is on Thursday.
The agreement authorizes up to 3,000 electronic lottery terminals at two gaming
facilities. But since the land-into-trust application for the Cowlitz Casino Resort
remains under litigation, the tribe will be able to lease its machines to others
until a final decision is reached.
