Pala Band finishes $5.7M casino renovation in just a few months

The Pala Band of Mission Indians in California debuted the results of a $5.7 million casino renovation project in time for the busy Memorial Day weekend.

The work at the Pala Casino Resort and Spa started in January. The tribe opened Luis Rey’s, a Mexican restaurant, in early May.

Two more components were finished right before the weekend. They include a permanent outdoor stage for the Starlight Theatre and CAVE, a wine bar and restaurant.
