Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation reports gains in gaming revenue

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut reported increases in revenues at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The casino generated $229.3 million in net revenues in quarter that ended December 31, 2015, according to a report posted on Electronic Municipal Markets Access. That's 2.6 percent higher than the same quarter a year prior.

The gaming portion came to $195.4 million while hotel, entertainment, food and other areas generated nearly $57 million. All areas saw increases, according to the report.

The Pequots have partnered with the Mohegan Tribe to pursue a new casino in the state.
