Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, a 30+ year non-profit organization located in a beautiful Colorado rural community, is currently seeking a proven, energetic leader for its next President/CEO. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and support to a dedicated staff as the organization expands to meet its mission and vision of the future.
This person will be responsible for planning, articulating, and implementing the vision, objectives and policies of the organization in accordance with directives from the Board of Trustees and with the Center’s mission. The ultimate responsibility of this position is the overall financial health and performance of the organization. One of the key roles this person will have is providing leadership in representing Crow Canyon to the outside world. He/she will also be responsible for the development of major donor and trustee prospects.
Education and/or Experience:
Master’s degree and more than 10 years of related experience in senior management; in-depth knowledge of profit and/or not-for-profit operations and functions; and fund-raising principles, strategies, and methods is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) preferred. Professional background in anthropology, archaeology, science, or education is desirable.
