The Suquamish Tribe is recruiting for an Administrative Program Manager for the Fisheries Dept. The Administration Program Manager shall provide budget, personnel, training, travel and communications support to the Fisheries Director and Fisheries Policy Coordinator, Shellfish Policy Advisor, Environmental Program Manager, Shellfish Program Manager, Salmon Recovery Program Manager, Fin Fish Program Manager and the Archaeological Program Manager. Serves as the Program Manager for the Enhanced Tribal ID System and GSA Fleet Program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of the tribal government and treaty fishing and hunting rights.
• Knowledge of financial systems
• Ability to create and track a budget
• Knowledge of grants processes
• Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to utilize Access data bases

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree in Business Administration or 5 years business/managerial experience, along with prior experience in budgeting/accounting/record keeping. Must have supervisory experience. Must have prior experience and demonstrate competency with word processing and spreadsheet software. Preference given to candidates having previous experience in Tribal fisheries issues and administrative processes.

Inability to maintain confidentiality could result in serious harm to tribal members and create legal issues for the departments, as well as the Tribe; any release of confidential information to an unauthorized entity or person will be cause for immediate dismissal.
