The Mescalero Apache Tribe seeks a qualified individual for the position of Tribal Roads Program Director/Engineer (“Director”). The Director is responsible for the planning, organization, coordination and execution of roads design, construction and maintenance projects for the Tribe. The Director provides professional and technical expertise for engineering activities in relation to such projects.
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from a four-year accredited college/university;
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience; and
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning, design and/or construction.
Preference will be given to applicants that are licensed engineers and familiar with the federal U.S. DOT, FHA, Federal Lands Highway-Tribal Transportation Program and PL-638 contracting. Other tribal preferences shall apply.
