POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Chitimacha Gaming Commission
GAMING COMMISSION CHAIRMAN


Scope: The Commission Chairman, as Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, shall
schedule and preside at all meetings of the Commission unless the Chair designates another
member to preside in his or her absence; shall appoint the members of the Commission to such
committees as the Commission may, from time to time, establish; shall have the authority to
accept for filing all applications; shall have the authority to incur on behalf of the Commission
such expenses as the Commission shall have approved in its operating budget; shall have general supervision, direction and control of the affairs of the Commission; and shall perform such other duties as are incidental to the office and as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Commission.

Education: This individual shall have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an
accredited college or university relevant to Casino or Commission business operations;
Graduate degree in area relevant to casino or Commission business operations preferable.

Experience: Prior gaming industry experience of at least 5 years is required. Prior
experience in Indian gaming preferred. The candidate must demonstrate a relevant,
reputable, and dedicated professional or employment history and experience that would
provide a sound foundation upon which to perform the duties of the Gaming Commission
Chairman. Gaming regulatory experience is also required.

Additional Requirements: Candidate must undergo a thorough Tribal background
investigation and not possess any history of criminal or regulatory activities that have been
found to be prohibited in any jurisdiction.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO QUALIFIED NATIVE AMERICANS PURSUANT TO
PUBLIC LAW 93-638 AND THE INDIAN SELF-DETERMINATION AND EDUCATION
ASSISTANCE ACT AND THE INDIAN CIVIL RIGHTS ACT 25 U.S.C. 450e(b).
