The Suquamish Tribe - Administration Department Executive Director

The Suquamish Tribe Administration Department is recruiting for a full time Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration of governmental programs and implementing the policies and strategic vision and mission of the Suquamish Tribe as identified and determined by Tribal Council. The duties include planning, organizing, coordinating and managing program support as well as facilitating and assisting in the development of departmental goals, objectives and budgets. The Executive Director has supervisory authority over all tribal department directors and is responsible for supporting tribal programs to ensure timely, consistent and effective execution of departmental functions. The Executive Director has the authority and responsibility to implement the legislative actions, tribal government wide policies and individual department program policies, and annual budgets as approved and directed by Tribal Council.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Public Administration, or similar course of study from an accredited college or university required.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or similar course of study from an accredited college or university preferred, plus at least eight, or more years combination of administrative and supervisory experience including leadership, strategic planning, policy analysis, budget development, financial management, and public relations required.

State/Tribal/Federal Criminal Background check required
Valid WA State Driver's License required
Pre-Employment drug testing required
Native preference
