Hearing delayed for second Aquash murder suspect

Extradition hearings for a man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou Aquash won't begin until at least April 30.

A Vancouver, British Columbia, judge delayed the start of the process for John Graham, a Canadian Native man charged with Aquash's murder in 1975. Graham plans to fight extradition to the U.S., saying he wants a trial in Canada.

Graham is alleged to worked with Arlo Looking Cloud to kill Aquash. Looking Cloud was convicted of Aquash's murder last month.

Graham is alleged to have confirmed details of the circumstances surrounding Aquash's death. Her body was found on the Pine Ridge Reservation in February 1976.
