An inquest into the death of a Metis man while in police custody began on Monday.

The first witness was the coroner. He said Clayton Willey, 33, died due to high quantities of cocaine in his system.

But Bryna Willey, Clayton's sister, says there are unanswered questions. Clayton was shot with a police Taser gun twice after being arrested and handcuffed, and he had bruises and marks all over his body.

The police officers have already been cleared of wrongdoing. The inquest will focus on how and why Clayton Willey died.
