Members of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana criticized the Bureau of Indian Affairs and federal authorities for law enforcement on the reservation.

At the first of four Indian Country Community Forums in the state, tribal members say the BIA hasn't lived up to promises to clean up the reservation. The BIA took over the tribe's police force, citing corruption and other problems.

Tribal members also say the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office have done a poor job investigating crimes and prosecuting crimes. They said the criminal justice system is unfair compared to off-reservation communities.
