Warm Springs Tribes searches for man missing in river

The Warm Springs Tribes of Oregon placed safety nets across the lower Deschutes River in the search for a missing Native man.

Wallace Leclair, 40, hasn't been seen since last Wednesday. Tribal crews placed the nets on the river in hopes of locating him and more than 40 people have been searching a 10-mile stretch of the Deschutes.

"Traditionally speaking, we don't leave the river until we get a Native American out," Warm Springs Fire Chief Don Martinez told KTVZ-TV.

The use of the nets has upset some local rafting companies, who say they weren't made aware of the situation.
