St. Regis Mohawk Tribe to get cheap heating oil

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York has accepted cheap heating oil from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

About 1,500 homes on the Akwesasne Reservation will receive 500,000 gallons of heating oil from Citgo, Venezuela's oil company. Chavez has been offering the fuel to tribes and Alaska Natives, although some have declined.

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe will receive its fuel this week.
